Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Sheets (GI)
It is produced by passing full hard sheets, which have undergone an acid washing and a rolling process, through a molten zinc pot and applying zinc to the surface. As it has a thicker galvanized layer which secures excellent corrosion resistance, than EGI, it is the most widely used plated product .
Characteristics
- It has excellent corrosion resistance, good paintability and processability owing to self-sacrificial corrosion of zinc.
- Various zinc gilding thickness are available and in particular, a thick galvanized layer (up to 600g/m2) is possible.
- Depending on the status of a skin pass treatment of a gliding surface, it is classified into Zero Spangles and Extra Smooth.

- Home appliances parts, auto parts, steel house, construction frame, construction interior and exterior materials, roofing, soundproof walls, pipes, ducts, etc.
